One-size-fits-all grad photos don’t fit here. Over the last 5 years, I’ve taken grad photos at campuses all over North Carolina, on digital and film, traditional and very non-traditional, groups and solos. No matter how many times I work with grads, no two shoots are ever the same and never will be. I see each grad photo session as a unique creative opportunity: how can we weave the spaces, experiences, and memories that defined your time in college with intentional visual and technical choices (i.e., natural light or flash? classic portrait lens, zoom, or fisheye? film or digital? indoors or outside?) to create something totally new and fully you.

Back in Spring of 2024, upcoming Duke graduate Nidhi reached out to me to get photos of her and her three best friends. The four girls had met in various way across their time as undergrads at Duke University and were thrilled at the idea of taking photos across campus and the Gardens before they all left for various new cities, schools, and jobs.
