What people are saying:
“Claire Hambrick is a talented and mindful addition to sets and photoshoots. I enjoyed having her assist me on a range of photography projects, showcasing her flexibility and adaptability on location.
Her presence on set is uplifting, as a creative who values all parts of the process. She is helpful and observant while allowing the space for me to photograph. While shooting, she provided a range of behind the scenes photos and video content, that was extremely helpful as something I usually unable to capture the way I want to on solo shoots. She was able to balance the content alongside my needs for an assistant to adjust lighting, check in on models, hold reflectors, help in transferring to new locations, etc.
I would happily recommend Claire to any photographer and assure them she will be a welcome addition to their team!“

FAQs
Who are you?
My name is Claire Hambrick. I’m 23, a native of North Carolina, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I studied Communication. I second-shot my first wedding at 16 for my Aunt’s wedding photography business and LOVED it, and have been pursuing photography in various formats ever since.
What can you offer as a second shooter?
As your second shooter, first and foremost, I am there to support YOU and your business, not my own. I want to be the second shooter I would hope to have someday, which means responding quickly and promptly to your needs, getting alternate angles and perspectives to your main shots, assisting with equipment, capturing BTS footage to help your business, and anything else requested. My goal is to make your job easier, not a bigger headache, and aid in making a great experience for the couple and wedding guests.
What experience do you have?
I have been working collaboratively with photographers for years. I have assisted photographers in Raleigh and Durham and worked on photography teams all throughout college for our culture/fashion magazine, oscillating between leadership and team support roles.
What equipment do you use?
Currently, I work with a Canon RP mirrorless body and a few different prime lenses, mainly my 85mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.8. I am hoping to invest in a zoom lens this year, but in the meantime, I enjoy my prime lenses because of their beautiful quality and because they require me to really move around and get creative with my placements.
What is your requested rate?
$75/hour for local Raleigh/Durham work :)
